Please ensure that you have read the terms and conditions carefully before making your purchase. By purchasing any item, you have agreed to the exclusive terms and conditions governing the sales between the Customer and WholesaleLights.com.au.


1.1 All orders placed through this website are subject to confirmation and acceptance by WholesaleLights.com.au.

1.2 While WholesaleLights.com.au endeavours to bring you the best possible prices, due to the nature of the lighting industry, we reserve the right to change prices without notice at any time. WholesaleLights.com.au reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders, whether or not the order has been confirmed and payment made. If payment has been made for the purchase and your order is cancelled, we will notify you immediately and refund the amount paid. We will inform you as soon as possible of any changes in prices, or cancellation or orders.

1.3 The WholesaleLights.com.au website and Ebay store may have variations in price. The stores operate as separate entities and prices on the website and Ebay may change at any time due to the competitive nature of the lighting industry Australia-wide online.

1.4 The prices listed on the website are on-line prices only and are despatched straight from a warehouse to you. This saves overheads of running a brick-and-mortar store and the savings are passed on to you.

1.5 Prices may vary at any time and we will not be liable to refund any differences in price of an item’s price changes post-sale.


2.1 Every effort will be made to satisfy your order in the quickest possible time. If for any reason beyond our reasonable control, we are unable to supply a particular item, we will notify you at the earliest convenience.

2.2 In this instance, your order will be placed on back order.

2.3 We strongly recommend, that you always contact us prior to making your order, if you have an availability concern, or a deadline, as not all items are in stock at all times. We try our best to keep all items in stock, however times may rise when we may be caught out with an item. In this case your item will be ordered, and as soon as it arrives into our warehouse, it will be promptly shipped to you.


3.1 Pictures are for illustrative purposes only.

3.2 Whilst every effort is made to make product descriptions as accurate as possible, errors may unintentionally occur.

3.3 Various computers and preset screen resolutions may cause product misrepresentations. This may be caused by the angle the photo was taken, the camera flash, etc.


4.1 We accept the following methods of payment online, Credit Card (Visa and MasterCard) and PayPal.


5.1 For security reasons we do not keep your credit card payments on record.

5.2 Once your transaction has been completed, we do not have access to your credit card information. This is strictly regulated by the banking authorities.

5.3 If a refund is required and payment was made by a credit card, in some instances we may have to refund the amount paid into a bank account.

5.4 Your credit card details are safe and secure. All credit card information is encoded using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, an encryption protocol that protects data as it travels over the internet.

5.5 There may be times when we may have to contact you to verify you as the card holder.


6.1 WholesaleLights.com.au shall not be liable to the Customer or to any other person whomsoever, for any loss or damage whatsoever or however caused arising directly or indirectly in connection with the products, other than expressly imposed by statute in terms of which it is not possible to limit or exclude liability.

6.2 WholesaleLights.com.au expressly excludes liability for consequential loss or damage including but not limited to loss of profit, business, revenue, goodwill or anticipated savings.


7.1 These terms and conditions are subject to change at any time, without prior written notice. Therefore, please check these terms and conditions carefully each time you place an order with or accept delivery of any goods from WholesaleLights.com.au.


8.1 These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Queensland and shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.


9.1 All fittings have a minimum 12 months warranty, individual product warranties are noted within each product description, and apply from the date of purchase, if installed by a qualified Electrician (excluding globes).

9.2 Advertised warranty periods relate to domestic installations.

9.3 Warranty on globes, other than LED is Nil, unless found to be DOA (dead on arrival).

9.4 LED globes that are faulty carry a replacement warranty. A replacement warranty is a one for one warranty. It is the Customer’s responsibility to return faulty items to us, along with a prepaid Australia Post satchel for its return to you. We are not liable for any freight costs involved in returning warranty items to you. In addition, you may contact the manufacturer of the globes for warranty replacement.

9.5 Ceiling fan warranties are covered by their respective brands. If you have an issue with a ceiling fan, call the manufacturer and they will handle the warranty claim from there. Do not send or return the ceiling fan to the store.

9.6 All warranties are void, if NOT installed by a licenced electrician. In Australia, it is illegal to perform electrical work within the appropriate electrician licenses.

9.7 Any items returned for warranty, must be accompanied by:
• Original proof of purchase, and
• A copy of the electrical certificate issued for the installation of these items by a licensed electrician.

9.8 It is the Customer’s responsibility to organise a returned item to us. This means packaging it appropriately and paying for the freight costs.

9.9 While all care is taken in the packaging and postage of your purchase, we will attend to breakages and faulty fittings ASAP. In addition, this does not constitute a refund, only a replacement.

9.10 Postage fees are non-refundable.

9.11 Shipped returns may take up to 14 days to process and notification will be by email.


10.1 All orders are delivered by courier.

10.2 Your delivery costs will be displayed at checkout, before you complete your order, and are charged to your credit card upon submitting your order.

10.3 To the extent permitted by law, WholesaleLights.com.au does not accept any liability whatsoever for the goods ordered and/or any loss or damage incurred by any persons in relation to your order once it has been received by the courier for delivery to you.

10.4 We suggest that you have your order delivered to an address where someone will be present during business hours to sign for the delivery. If the delivery address is unattended, our couriers are authorised to leave the goods at that address.

10.5 Orders cannot be delivered to post office boxes or postal lockers.

10.6 We will process your order within 72 hours. It there is a problem fulfilling your order (e.g. items need to be ordered in), we will contact you within this period to let you know. Once your order has been shipped, you will be advised via email. Delivery could take 7-10 working days from this date. After this time if you have not received your order please email our web sales team on lightingdw@bigpond.com or call o7 3847 8455 (Mon-Fri 9.00 am – 5.00 pm EST).

10.7 Remote Deliveries
If you live in a remote location, under certain circumstances the courier company may deliver to a recognised collection point or depot in the nearest main town. Many of our remote customers prefer this option to having the order delivered to their door – if so, please leave us a note in the comments of your order with specific delivery instructions.

10.8 International Deliveries

Online shopping is only available to Customers within Australia.

11.2 Wholesalelights.com.au acknowledges and is committed to protecting your privacy. We will collect, use and disclose and hold personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (“The Act”). We will let you know:

  • What information we collect and hold about you and why we collect such information; and
  • How that information is used by us and the organisations, or types of organisations that the information would usually be disclosed to; and
  • If the law requires the collection of such information; and
  • The consequences, if any, of you not disclosing such information; and
  • That you can access such information and how you can access such information; and
  • How you can correct such information if it is not correct.

    Wholesalelights.com.au does not collect personal information unless it is necessary for us to carry out our functions and activities as a retailer. We only collect such information by lawful and fair means and in an unobtrusive way. You may provide us with personal information about yourself or others each time you contact us by phone, fax letter or email. We need to use this information to provide you with our services and/or products. This information will be used and managed as follows:

    11.4 Disclosure of personal information and marketing
    We will use and disclose your personal information for the primary purposes of our business as a retailer or a purpose related to our primary purpose such as marketing, where you consent to such disclosure or such disclosure is permitted by the Act. In addition we use such information to market to you products and services offered by Wholesalelights.com.au unless you have indicated that you do not wish to obtain such marketing offers or material. Such a request can be made to the Privacy Officer. We will in such circumstances only use the personal information provided for the sole purpose of providing the service you have requested.

    Wholesalelights.com.au may utilise the services of contractors from time to time for the purposes of marketing and undertaking services as promoted by Wholesalelights.com.au. Your personal information will be provided to these businesses for the purposes of ensuring that our services are marketed to you or to enable a service to be provided to you.

    We will not otherwise provide your personal information to a third party without your approval.

    11.5 Security and access of personal information
    The personal information you have provided to us will be kept confidential and secure and will not be accessible for unauthorised use, amendment or disclosure. Only Wholesalelights.com.au staff that has been trained on our privacy policy will have access to such information. You are able to access the personal information we hold about you at any time by contacting us by phone, fax or email.

    11.6 Ensuring accuracy of the personal information we hold
    We will reasonably attempt to ensure that the personal information we hold about you is accurate, up to date and complete. To assist us to do this please provide us with the correct information and inform us if your details have changed. This can be done by providing us with details of any changes to your information by fax or email. If we deny you access or deny a request for correction we will provide you with reasons why we have denied you access or corrected such information in the circumstances.

    Due to the importance of your privacy, our privacy policy will be reviewed and monitored regularly. A copy is available by contacting the Privacy Officer.

    11.8 Wholesalelights.com.au Privacy Complaint Process
    If you are concerned with the way Wholesalelights.com.au has handled your personal information, please contact our Privacy Officer with your complaint. We will make available to you a privacy complaint form, which you will be required to complete and return to us. This will ensure the prompt investigation of your complaint. If we have not handled your personal information in any appropriate way we will take steps to remedy your concerns promptly. If you are still concerned, you may contact the Privacy Commissioner.
